The components required include conductor, earth wire, back fill compound/chemical, and chemical earthing electrode. This maintenance free earthing system requires less space for installation and operation. GI rod is mainly used in chemical earthing. This electrode has terminal at the top and chemicals are completely filled in it. Chemical earthing dissipates lightning strikes and thus protects machines and equipment.
