Since coconut fiber is a 100% natural material that is soft and durable, the coir mats made from coconut fiber can stand the test of time. They are made from the long, brown fibers of the coconut husk. Thus, they are far safer for the environment than doormats made from synthetics that are non-biodegradable and might even trigger allergic reactions in those with sensitivities to these materials.
