Clinching Nut

A self-clinching or swage nut locks itself into the soft panel of the application. The nut is used to insert threaded rods, bolts and screws. The material is usually hard stainless steel. The nuts are then used to fit onto softer surfaces like aluminum panels. There are three parts to the stainless steel clinch nuts. A main shaft, an undercut and a clinching ring with serration and larger diameter. This structure allows the nuts to fit into place and lock themselves into the structure while allowing the bolts and screws to fit into them. The stainless steel self clinching nuts are made in different materials such as 304, 316 and other grades of stainless steels.
